R.A. McDonough is a Partner at TPH&Co., the energy business of Perella Weinberg. He joined the Firm in 2022 and provides senior focus and leadership across our traditional energy and energy transition advisory efforts. He has over 35 years of investment banking experience having advised clients on many marquee M&A and equity and debt financings across a number of sectors.

He was previously a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan and Head of Energy-West and Los Angeles Investment Banking. He joined J.P. Morgan upon Chase’s acquisition of The Beacon Group. He began his career in Merrill Lynch’s Industrial Banking Group.

Mr. McDonough holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BA from Dartmouth College.
